Hi, Paul Thomas here.

Home Workout Guy 001This is the one (and only) place on the site where I’ll talk about myself.  After all, you might want to know something about my fitness background if you’re considering taking any workout or nutrition advice from me. So here it goes:

I began my fitness career in 1981 – back when some people still thought the earth was flat.  I got my start working as a fitness instructor at the health club I belonged to in Suburban Philadelphia.

Getting that first job was a nice break because I’d been struggling with the whole career path thing.  Being an aspiring bodybuilder and gym rat, a career in fitness sounded like a good match for me.  So when the owners of my club offered me a job, I jumped at the chance.  Luckily, it turned out to be a great match for me.

Now, I’m not going to bore you to death with my resume details.  Heck, I can’t even remember some of them.  But during the first 14 years of my career, I helped many people reach their fitness and weight loss goals while working in some of the finest exercise facilities in the Philadelphia area.

During those years, I earned two fitness degrees – including a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Temple University.  I was also certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

In 1995, I left the health club scene to develop my own business of offering personal training services to people in their homes and offices.  By that time, I had built a solid reputation as one of the area’s top fitness consultants and personal trainers. It was definitely time to make the move and go out on my own. (At least I was hoping so!)

Fast forward & and that’s pretty much where I’m at today. Thousands of home workout sessions and many satisfied clients later (and much more gray hair), I still have a thriving fitness training and consulting business in suburban Philadelphia called Fitpro.  Honestly, I can’t imagine doing anything else.

After all these years, I feel very fortunate to still be doing what I love to do – helping people re-claim their bodies & health and improve their lives as a result. Hopefully, I’ll be doing this for many more years to come and help a lot more people, including you.

Alright, that’s enough about me . . . . Let’s get back to you!
